Drifting Clouds
( Villanelle)
When all the clouds have drifted by
A beautiful day shall be on it’s way
Sunshine always lights the blue sky
One can almost hear the flowers sigh
After a warm and gentle rainy day
When all the clouds have drifted by
The beautiful sunset one can’t deny
And the romantic moon smiling so gay
Sunshine always lights the blue sky
Often wonder what it feels to fly
Up and up to the stars far away
When all the clouds have drifted by
Rainbow magic is beautiful to the eye
Changing cloud colors, dark, white, gray
Sunshine always lights the blue sky
Fast endless winds blowing up high
Thunder and lightning are at play
When all the clouds have drifted by
Sunshine always lights the blue sky
