Dreams Disappear

When watching dreams disappear, reality's hard to bear. And as they start to vanish, it's like I'm choking for air. Captivated by your smile, I'm a prisoner of love. And confronting constant stress, I seek guidance from above. In a fit of jealousy, my anger betrayed my heart. And I regret that my love will be what drives us apart. I exposed my true feelings, but you used them against me. And unrequited love now vows never to set me free. I'm left reeling from your sting, wounded to my very core. And my heart's devastated, 'cause you're the one I adore. (Quatrain) 4/1/2015
