Downfall of Time
It was impossible for me
to fill my empty stomach with stones only
and that’s why I ate them mixed with heavy sighs.
It didn’t satisfy my hunger, however. I was hungry as before.
Licking the dews won’t quench my thirst
that’s why I blended them with my tears and drank.
I was still thirsty, however.
My tongue stuck on my palate was rough and bitter.
It was impossible for me
to subsist only by counting time
while looking at a floating cloud
that forms its shape to its own way and goes as it pleases.
And that’s why I colored the floating cloud with my dream.
Alas, my dream, however, dyed the cloud jet-black
and as soon as the sky darkened
it fell to the ground, rose the high wind,
down poured the heavy rain, thunder roared,
lightening struck the earth.
And in this chaos, I saw the downfall of time.
