Doubt Casts a Shadow
I've walked these lonely miles
In spite, of tumultuous trials
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
My strength shall not falter
Though, my life was altered
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
I've held steadfast with courage
Though, times of small discourage
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
I've overcame each affliction
Years of secret addiction
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
I've survived abuse, upon me, inflicted
Encountered the world's truly wicked
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
I've mended the pain of my broken heart
Even, as my life was shattered apart
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
Misery sang, to me, its bitter song
I mustered the will to carry on
Yet, doubt casts a shadow
I can not be broken!
Despite, each hateful word spoken!
Yet, doubt casts a shadow!
I've conquered my demons!
Whilst, my soul was screaming!
Yet, doubt casts a shadow!
I've accepted my transgressions!
Turned, my life, a new direction!
Yet, still, doubt casts its shadow!!
