Sleeping Alone No! Not alone That way it only seems Even though I am by myself It feels as if someone is watching me Or maybe something Whilst I dream Invading Molesting my sleep Behind these tired eyes I do see I do see something watching me From the dark crevice of my corner With such a blur It tip-toes across my ceiling But no It is not heard Oh it is stealthy Oh it is wise And oh how it is sinister when it curls up where I lie And it is so hot! So on fire I might scream! I thrash out of bed and realize It was only a dream Only a dream, I notice Only a dream, I say But is my ignorance alone enough to keep this demon at bay?
