Decompensating
My arms hug my knees
in that wet warmth
and hold my thighs against my baby belly.
I'm blind--
floating away from the pinprick of light.
Living forever within a moment of drowning;
Moving further into the abyss.
I fall backwards in time--
I shrink to that moment before I exist.
