Dear Mother
Dear Mother
I would travel across thousands of worlds and millions of lifetimes,
Just to say thank you, Mama!
From the inception of the creative spark planted inside you,
To the nourishing sanctuary of your womb,
You stood bravely through the torturous pains of my birth,
I salute you, dear mother...
I owe a debt in this world and the next,
For the heroic traits with which you bathed me,
I often woke you up at night,
And you responded with love and care to dry my tears,
I salute you, dear mother...
For my pain, you knew mama,
I could see it etched on your face,
As you comforted me in my times of need,
And I thanked you with a smile that spoke of relief,
I salute you, dear mother...
For my first word, I said mama!
To show you that my weak heart bliss the love you gave,
Through my budding years,
You nurtured and cultivated me,
I salute you, dear mother...
Your monetary vault you unconditionally invested in me,
As your partner was my perpetual defaulter,
But I saw a luminous flame in you,
That embraced and cocooned me to maturity,
I salute you, dear mother...
I will repay you for your faith in me,
I will repay you for your care for me,
In words and in art,
But my actions can never fully reciprocate your tenderness,
I salute you, dear mother...
