Dead By Six O Clock
I awoke dreaming of the end of the world,
You know the houses and cars sinkining into a sea of water and fire,
Then I had breakfast,
Hurried to the shops with my benefit cheque,
Spent it all on paints, canvases and a pocket watch,
Like the white rabbit you know,
I saw centuries pass in a few minutes,
Like Kirchner the artist you know,
Then i painted everything I could see,
Today,
The caravan girl,
People in relationships,
A master painter,
And a bag lady who came to the door,
Asking for more,
Then i had a beer or a few more,
And died listening to a female pop star.
