Days To Come

The stately orb aloft doth blaze, electrifying summer days, she comforts with her warming rays and she deserves respect. She sustains life here on earth and oversees the home and hearth, she'll make you tan for all she's worth and never disappoints. But what if she should disappear, leave blackened skies and mounting fear of winds and rains that scrape and sear, pray then what would we do? With energy and food depleted, ravaged homes no longer heated, we might start to look delicious to the street gangs, wild and vicious. I would not want to be so 'outre,' end my days as someone's entree, so is this fantasy, surreal, or will Armageddon be for real?
