Darker Than Black

The world could not find, a color darker than black. but they don't know about my life.... every day comes with a crazy attack. you'd say, "what's dark about that?!" but what do you know about black? recognition is what you lack! but my days are darker than night. everything is hurtful across my sight. to find my way through there's no light. and every other way leads to a fight. broken hearts pile up into the tallest stack, and my misery is darker than black. I don't have the will to have. my thoughts are darker than black. I cant find the will to find. my heart is darker than black. I cant forget the troubling past. my memories are darker than black. I don't know why I'm still alive, because my life is darker than black....

The fact that you are still willing to search means that hope is not yet extinguished. You yet still feel and are still reaching out in a darkness blacker than black. Your voice is yet strong. We hear it in lands where light and reason are still alive. So glad you found us on poetry soup where your words can be freely read. David in NZ
