Darker Blood
Rome was burning; the smell of invasion
deep in smoke, spread all over the Aegean Sea;
swords and shields were flooded in blood;
blood that belonged to Roman and Celtic race.
"It appears that we Romans have the same blood
as the Celts!" a philosopher exclaimed.
The Celts blood was believed to be darker than Romans',
for they were primitive savages, unlike the Romans;
the Romans tainted the etiquette of virtue by invading
the Celts' home of their ancestors.
It was now hard to know which blood was darker.......
