Dancing Towards Middle Earth

Be light on your feet like an elf walking on snow The terrors are real but to are the joys O, wanderers in the wilderness Reach out your arms Cast your fears away The lights of the woodland elves are burning merrily Dwarves continue to have great festivals With much ale and great slabs of lamb and beef The time has come for us to join hands with the good folk of Middle Earth Sauron and Morgroth having been defeated We can take delight freely in life's small pleasures - a glass of ale - a pipe out of doors The new age is coming and some beautiful thing will be gone forever but there is plenty of joy left in this age The Age of Men Where Isildur's heirs will lead all Middle Earth to an era of unequaled peace and prosperity

Oie, I'd read the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, twice! However that's a while back.:( Isilur, who cut the One Ring from the hand of Sauron. Perhaps some not so coincidental paradoxes with the present, Matthew, on a minor key? I had great fun reading this piece...thank you! I had been to a reading once in Westmount..I forgot to bring my poems, all I could think on was finding the right roads to get there, and the time. best wishes, Mikki :)

Middle earth rocks! We're stuck out here on the crust where we wait for that 'unequaled peace and prosperity.'
