When you are somewhere good and dark
Try this exercise for a lark:
Think about the things your dad would say,
And how you wouldn't give him the time of day.
Then suppose you had taken his advice,
Not every time, just once or twice.
Imagine what your life might be now
Had you overlooked that grumpy scowl
And paid attention to that wise old owl.
Would you have pursed your lips so tight
If you had known your dad was right?
