Cry Me a Little Angel

Cry me a little angel, shed a tear for the world, for all its misery, and deep-dark mysteries, its empty promises... its temporal-sting; that we shall only live 'til death Cry me a little angel, though for all these dreary-dark things; that I shan't despair no more --- but act as thee: and learn to dance, and cry, and sing

Thanks Heidi, I always strive to make my endings a transcending summation, very happy you enjoyed!;-)

Keith, you take us from sadness and regret in the first verse to the promise of hope in the second. Somehow, the deep-dark mysteries and their "empty promises" seem to afflict everyone. Those who "learn to dance, and cry, and sing" are the lucky ones who manage to find happiness in a struggling society. Brilliant as always, my friend. Sending hugs to you, Carolyn
