Cousin Betty
COUSIN BETTY
Thank you, cousin Betty, for memories so dear;
We share each one so special as we are gathered here.
The swimming pool, the tree house, the car all torn apart,
The house I lived so long in came through your husband’s part.
The times we sat together there in that special pew,
The church you were involved in with PG’s that you knew.
Yes, now as here we gather to bid our last good-bye,
We all thank God our Father who lives above on high.
If it had not been for you, dear, the faith you gladly shared,
I’m not sure we’d know Jesus and be together there.
Thank you, cousin Betty, for your faith true and strong;
We’ll see you up in heaven before too very long.
--Eulogy for Betty Nauman.
