Coming From Me
where are you?
are you ok?
why did everything have to get so messed up?
I'm sorry if it was my fault
I'm sorry that I didn't accept you until the last few years you were here
I was scared you would leave
and I didn't want to get attached to a false hope
Look at what happened
I've never had a fatherly figure to look up to
I had my uncle and my grandpa
but no one I could call my father
you're strong and positive
why did you have to leave?
everything you needed was here
i was going to buy a house in Puerto Rico
for you and my my mom to retire to
i know you miss your daughters and you want to be with them
but you can't sacrifice your family here for a dream
maybe YOU can but YOU lost a good thing
you're my father and I love you more than even your real children ever will
and my mother loves you more than you'll ever know
