Coma

(This is a fictional poem) You're in a coma because you had a bad wreck one night. You took off in your car because we had a fight. I started the argument and I made you cry. I'll never be able to live with myself if you die. Our kids desperately need your love and I do too. If you die, we'll be lost wiithout you. As I've sat here and held your hand, I've cried and cried. The doctor wants to pull the plug and it's tearing me up inside. The doctor says you can't live without life support and I have a difficult decision to make. But if you die, it will tear me apart as I watch our kids hearts break. I wish I was the one lying lifeless in this bed. Without you in my life, there will be nothing but pain and loneliness ahead.
