Cold Winter Night

by Laura Catch me when I fall Fix me when I bleed Tear down my wall and cure my disease Please say that you still love the new me I've often thought of suicide I just needed a little cyanide If you wonder why my life fell apart Maybe you should think back to the start As if I ever had it all together As if I ever dressed for sweater weather I never needed to feel it better I even used to practice the perfect final letter Free my mind from the grips of this affliction Let me fall into the crashing waves of this addiction It's better than it ever was in hazy days I shed my blood Varied shades of insanity invaded my mind just like a flood My feet are numb from all the miles The wear and tear; years of denial Trading warming smiles for sinister glares Losing all my rights and growing out my hair I lost my way for quite a while And I have scars from deadly trials I survive every day through the battles I fight With the glisten of her lips in those cold winter nights
