Cold Day At the Zoo

The ring-tailed lemurs swished their stripes; The tortoises perambled. Rhinoceroses munched on hay; The seals caroused and gamboled. A winter day with snow on tap Was perfect for the zoo. The humans seemed to stay away So visitors were few. The cobra swayed from side to side; The dart frogs were exquisite. A cold and dismal afternoon’s The time I love to visit.

ahh, I bet it is so nice to see them that way without so many around. Really liked seeing this one, Ilene.

I never have been one for crowds. They just get in the way. :) It's nice to hear you were allowed on such a wintry day. Thanks for taking us along. Peace. :)

Most people would stay awake on such days, but those who brave the elements have their reward in being able to observe the animals without being jostled or hurried. Very nicely done.
