He sat in his cell so distant and dank
with his choice for seclusion without looking back.
Back where he left the one that he loved,
an angel he thought was sent from above.
Their feelings were like a flower that bloomed
with all its might it fought with the gloom.
A fear that someday this flower would fade
locked up his heart and put it in the shade.
His angel would try and seek out for him,
as close as she got she'd feel the chill on her skin.
When he sensed her presence he would slip away.
-I promise we can last, just open up your heart - She'd say.
"Maybe not now" - He would think - "It is closed for today".
