City Lights

Gazing out my window Taking notice of myriad lights Thousands of lives are played out behind those lights Light defying darkness as we all must do to survive in this ever changing metropolis Soft voices call us telling us to give up the struggle Yet we fight on We walk on gilded splinters and must careful not to fall City lights at night How many stories do they illuminate? One can only guess - send out best wishes to the masses who make up the urban landscape

Honolulu city lights? They have been known to help one escape, to dream and ponder long. Beautiful poem, inspiring. Mahalo
