City In the Bush
City in the Bush
When you sit and view it from within
It glitters with confusion from without
The habitats look happy in their brutality
Life seems active in a sea of parasites
This is a dreamland of organized pirates
The eye that sees what are on the landscape
The ear that hears what the wind whispers
Miss the forbidden truth hidden within
Fly; watch the city from cloud’s wings
Sit on mountain’s head and view from there
Truth spread on clean sheet, looks at thee
It is a city in the bush, a city in darkness
The bush of ignorance shines with applaud
The jungle of want shouts in silence
Every mouth that opens itself gets a pinch
If it utters that Africa is a city in the bush
