Christmas Wishes For You

For anyone struggling in the holiday season!! Although there's nothing much that I could add to all the Christmas wishes ever made, I'll wish for you that traffic won't be bad the day you shop and that you may get paid some kind of Christmas bonus for a change, and when beneath the mistletoe you stand, I hope you're not approached by someone strange, but rather by a stranger who is grand! And should you be so childish (I mean bold) to ice skate on a lake or board the snow, I pray for you that you don't catch a cold or break a leg as down some hill you go. My wishes, like my gifts, are kind of cheap; May faith in them require no giant leap!

Clever! It's always hard to realize that for some Christmastime is a struggle, especially to see so many others experiencing joy they don't have, or to be with family they may be deprived of. Some who have lost a loved one may feel their absence most intensely at Christmas. I think you handled this well here.

A wonderful Christmas sonnet for the lonely, the daring, the single. Sometimes we take the celebration at Christmas for granted when there are many who take it hard.

Whistle Stop was written around the town in Louisiana where I live; and at the request of my mother in law who saw an article in the Washington Post about the author's home in North Carolina. The similarities of towns were striking. Thank you for reading my poem. Wishing you and yours a most blessed Christmas season. Big

No, I didn't heal completely...I have part of my wrist back and my biceps but my fingers, rotation of my arm, and my triceps are still gone. It was a miracle I still had part of my wrist. All this happened a long time ago...I was just 15 at the time. So I started my poetry early in my life. I just didn't produce very good poetry until later in my life. Thank you for your concern in me, I really appreciate it!

Those are some very kind and thoughtful wishes [I really couldn't see much dif between Cyn's def & Charles and mine re: haiku except maybe the use of man in haiku which I never said was not permitted..man is a part of nature..and season words are not always used] Light & Love
