Christmas Wedding

She walks down snow covered path to the church Christmas approaches she'll receive her gift She reaches for the door made of clear birch Stomping her feet she gives her skirt a lift Entering she takes a look around Christmas approaches she'll receive her gift The sanctuary quiet not a sound She imagines all the happy faces Entering and taking a look around It would be warmer in other places Yet it is magical at Christmas time She imagines all the happy faces It's kind of funny that both their names rhyme His name is Chris, she's always been called Miss It seems more magical at Christmas time In less than a week her husband she'll kiss His name is Chris, she's always been called Miss Behind her she closes door made of birch Down snow covered path away from the church Written November 12th, 2013 For Shadow's Christmas wedding contest.

I enjoyed this one. Romantic images abound. My grandparents were married on Christmas Eve and grandma always said she couldn't imagine a better time to say I do.

Beautifully done Richard...Call my crazy, but I get a sad feeling from this gem of yours, as if she is single and fantasizing or maybe even jilted? Regardless, this is a VERY well written piece and should place high in Shadow's contest - Tim

They are SIX, but who's counting, right? ;) Richard....you always have poems there. In fact, I doubled checked now to see if what you said could possibly be true cause I always see your name everywhere! ;) Well, something must be wrong with the world....I'm sure Lamoureux will be coming up time and again soon! :) Maybe a little more romance??? ;)

I only have one on the list currently so from my perspective four is pretty impressive.
