Christmas Gift

The best Christmas present I ever receive had a lot to do with my age,
I was seven., Santa was coming that night from heaven to bring
A grand set of plastic bowling balls and I would become the sage.
So I waited patiently (tearing up he pillows).

I'd stand back in the play room, took the ball out and let it go.
on the first try I did alright but didn't get a strike
I was out of rhythm I just couldn't catch my flow.
Bowling was getting to be much and I miss the rest of them.

I went to another present. It was a doctors case.
Of course with not much attention span at that age
My friend came over to get her diagnostics on her face.
So I gave her some of the candy inside the bottles to cure her.

By the end of the day I was exhausted by friends and sweets
I'd had a wonderful day with family and friends.
But now I knew I'd have to wait all year for next years treat
A bicycle that would speed down the highway would be perfect.
