Christ and the Cross

The cross is considered a sacred symbol An icon that many people have cherished But is was an instrument used by Satan For his amusement where many perished Christ and two others on the cross Were hung upon Satan’s death device An innocent man led to the slaughter Our replacement as a human sacrifice He hung bleeding on the cross With his hand spread out wide Forgiveness was Jesus Christ’s aim Shown through the pain he did not hide They reviled and wagged their heads As they looked on him up on high They cursed and ridiculed As they walked on by They shouted “He saved others,” “But himself he can not.” “Come down Oh King of Israel” “Come down from the cross” God’s prize possession destroyed Was what Satan had thought Useless to all humankind on his cross Worth thirty pieces of silver which he had bought Darkness fell on the earth the ground shook All sin was ushered to the cross and surrounded him This was Satan glorious moment The time when he was lead to believe he would win But Christ’s hand were spread for a reason To embrace sin through time and space And to replace it with an the attributes of God His unconditional Love and Grace That is why Jesus cried out to God “Father why have you forsaken me?” God had to remove his spirit from Christ As he cannot be associated with sin you see God did this, and gave his only son for You and Me. $$$ Eternal Figure $$$
