China Glimpses

We sojourn here For a brief while, Tour brings fond cheer, Style picture smiles. On ancient streets River town stroll; Old times now greet, Scenic boat toll. By this curved bridge An old-time feel, Touch of sad ridge, Nostalgia steals. Town folks stare blank As tourists peek, From river banks, Photos now tweak. Strange feelings bring Unease not glad, Heavy thoughts fling, A tinge most sad. Briefly we pass Lone ships moving, Grief cracks odd glass, Old times touching. Leon Enriquez 17 April 2016 Singapore
