Cats That Purr Do Not Roar

Listen to poem:
Cats that purr, do not roar; Cats that roar, do not purr. Lions and tigers roar with bluster With all the might they can muster. But, take them home for a cuddle And their purr is just a muddle. Bobcats purr like thunder. Enough to shake you under. But bobcat's roar is only strut and bluff Their roar in silence, just huff and puff. Mountain lions are just the same All purr and no roar, their game They purr when happy, when licking their paws, Even when angry, their purrs don't pause. But try this at home and it may surprise you Get your cat happy and purring anew. Then run a tap nearby, in sink or tub And the sound will make cat purr scrub.
