Can'T Wait For Winter
A biting chill now boldly rides the air
Brown leaves are stuck in my porch chair
Chorus of birds are visibly quieting down
Ducks and geese are moving out of town
Even the crickets have stop singing
Funeral bells, they clearly hear ringing
Grief stricken are all the cold-blooded ones
Hamsters and frogs prepare for dull months
I sure love the days and nights of summer
Jailed I feel, under the heavy winter covers
Kind and soft, though, are my cozy sweaters
Love colorful scarves to put an outfit together
My winter wardrobe-I admit, I love
Novel hats, coats, and fur lined gloves
Oh, to get into them, I can’t wait for winter
People oft say-haven’t met a nut like her
