Cannibals

Cannibals By Laura Dee Battle December 8, 2014 Cannibals in my mind of mine Come on back sweetly It feels so divine Approach me discreetly I'll run every time It's always for me Time cannot rewind Days are empty Things I wasn't meaning to find Cause you remind me Sometimes we're so kind Everything we wanted to be I'm losing my wasted mind Ran out of fake abilities December days the sheep are blind So maybe my words are obtuse SomeHow I lost my tainted youth I'll never miss my hopeless self-abuse I find myself outside their booth They're eating steak within a noose I'd rather freeze; I know the truth A perfect tool without a use A cavity without a tooth Don't want this "gift"; I'm cutting loose Your dreams for me still weigh me down The avenues becoming clear Another year, another town I'll see you around Some day soon
