Candles

She lit the candles, One at a time, We drank herbal tea, And sat side by side, Feelings came easy, In a positive sign, We moved slowly closer, As the sofa reclined, The pulse of her music, Was edgy and fine, Over and under, Together in time. Candlelit moments, When she was mine.
