But Then He Followed His Heart

“But then he followed his heart” A man was beginning his life anew, He decided on a few things, To follow but his desires, And do things that were sensible. He followed his mind. The man decided to find a job, He evaluated the risks, But he forgot that he loved the adventure of business, He decided on things logically. Again he followed his mind. He was lying on a hospital bed, He wanted to have ice – cream, The doctors told him it could be fatal, He reasoned with himself and shut his desires. Again he followed his mind. But when asked to choose, Between the fat, ugly, rich woman, And the pretty, fair but poor maiden, He chose the fair but poor maiden for a wife. But then he followed his heart.
