Burning Love

We were the rainbow in the sky hovering around without wings As we express our own poetry each stanza starts with a quaver of a heartbeat Snows melt at the sight of our chemistry Candles ignite at the burning of our love Our tender kiss, a striking semblance to the last golden breath of winter We dozed off into our own arms As the enclave of our own heart Cave into a deep slumber

Congratulations on your win Olajide. The late Elvis Presley had a hit song with the same title. It was one of his last recorded songs.

I like this Olajide Adelana (just wanted to write it) another beautiful poetic name on this site. The collective pronoun we, the quaver of a heartbeat and the full spectrum of power and tenderness. Pianissimo to fortissimo and then to ppp and the peaceful slumber. Very nice my friend..Craig
