Brzydki Jak Noc Listopadowa
Ugly as a November Night
The trees are naked
Branches snap at you like ugly witches
A full moon glares down upon the barren earth
Searching for victims to feed natures lust
The coldness of a black November
Will consume those who enter the night
You are walking into your memories deep within
Past lovers howling in the wind
Mocking your torment, naked just as the trees
Grasp at any memory, before falling beneath
The icy waters invite you with sweet verse
Come find peace from the ugly night above
The wind sweeps away all thoughts of warmth
As the rain falls like bullets from the sky
Tormented
I walk to the corner store
Notes: Inspired when a friend told me that "Ugly as a November Night" was a Polish expression
