Broken Family

Despite the cries Despite the lies Despite the separation The suffer you caused The tears that came down running into an ocean The laughter that has been whipped out The voice unheard The right…taken… The will to let go, to not hang on to us… Despite…despite… Despite… Despite the memories, to look at the pictures To bear holding a photo album To bear flipping its pages To bear that photo album without a tear Is something that can never be told to any ear Despite the devotion…despite the love… To bend down to honor the times To bend down to look at the times Despite the affection The care…the tender… Despite the unfinished conversations Despite the raging yells Despite the painful hits Despite the swollen red arms To look at the parties, the celebrations... The recall of each memory pulls to another The cold nights we took them together The hot days we swam them together The irreplaceable proud of one another The let down of another hope The hold on to another life The sacrifices that were made… The begging’s and prayers to Mighty God The sound of another hopeless conversation The magic that shifted you into one another With no feelings, no recalls… The fighting’s and rage The curse and words We bear it all The miss of a reunion, the months, the weeks, the hours, the minutes, the seconds We stood, not complete Not together Despite it all… I say it with all reasons to break I miss you! I miss you dad… And the fault is for something The blame is set to someone He’d better not steal another breath He’d better not steal another life He’d better not steal the bond He’d better let us be us Or God Please avenge us For what is taken For what is stolen For what is meant to be With us…
