Broken and Bad
Smiles get shattered and senses get slaughtered
Reduced into rawness...made to beg, steal, and borrow
Fools they follow fiends straight into lakes of fire
No sunshine for the sick and the sad
No good times to be had
Hurts they heal slow when you're broken and bad
Take it all wrong...singing that song and turning on time
Dropped hard like a dime
Turning goodness into greed
Spreading savage seeds
Turning water into whiskey...Hellbent and gut rotten
Fallen and forgotten
Once upon a time a heart you once had
Hurts they heal slow when you're broken and bad
Success is a skeleton choking on societies skin
While paranoid preachers speak about phantom pleasure that turns into pain
Deranged and damaged and straight down the drain
Running wild in the rain
Soaked to the soul...now stolen and sold and gone like a ghost
Reaching for roses and tangled in thorns
Sinking in the sand...no help from a helping hand
Hurts they heal slow when you're broken and bad
