Pain opened to a dewy morning
Witness to another trust broken
A brave naïve heart, wondered wide-eyed
As she cried silent five-year tears
A little victim of heinous love
Craftily played at on her soft body
Her tiny feet walked morning corridors
Searching for love, looking for comfort
In those alien big-people rooms
Mornings brought her impatient parents
A mother who called her a little dreamer
And nights brought her their trusted friends
Trusted friends who cuddled her days
Trusted friends who scared her nights
Old friends who showed her daytime love
Old friends who showed her night-time love…

Trauma often teaches us, as we grow, the real meaning of love, compassion. This poem is beautiful for its therapy, and brave in its truth Bindu, like you...J.A.B.

It is such a sad shame. Sometimes, we cannot even trust those who we are the closest to. This was a very difficult subject to write about. Well done, Bindu!...Thank you so much for the wonderful comments! :)

What is so sad is that this tale is far more common than most people care to believe. I am greatly moved by this piece. Also thank you for your comment on my Contrary Mixed poem. I responded to it. Soup me with your answer.
