Break Up
I need
not
to be patient and wait
for you to remember
my name, I need
not
to be clever and find
a line that gets
your attention, I need
not
to hope you'll grow out of your
unutterable
fascination with yourself, I need
not
to try and mend
the broken pieces, I need
not
to fight the wars you viciously
start and end.
Now it is
me, in charge
flying
high without you
