It was the first trip to Europe for Miss Hews who was terribly shocked by statuary views. She thought it a sin to show so much skin. Some of which apparently struck her as news.

Rather sad how values have changed so much. Not that I'm a prude. I would just rather leave a little to the imagination. Love the humor, Paul.

Thank you, Jan. Your story re. your aunts made me smile. I remember when it was considered bad form to use the word "pregnant" in conversation. The acceptable usage was "She's in a family way." love & hugs x x x Paul

Sure made me smile - mum had some books owned by her aged Victorian maiden aunts - the statue pictures has been coloured in so they were no longer 'naked' how times and values have changed!:-) hugs Jan xx 7
