Borged Out of My Mind
Cindy Crawford once said
“I wish I looked like Cindy Crawford.”
Young girls look at ads
Taking in hidden seeds craftily offered
If you want to measure up
You had better look this way
So what if it’s Photoshopped
Conform if you want to win the game
Young men watch TV
Women are turned into objects
I admit my hidden voyeur views
Without the least respect
But I don’t condemn myself
This could take a lifetime to break
As I learn the beautiful dance
Of respectful give and take
The great and powerful Oz
Behind the curtain dictates
As we plug in like The Borg
Wired directly into our brains
My views towards women
Are exactly as on TV
But now I’m becoming aware
That that is not me
