Books
Discern fond cheer that comes to light,
Seek inner poise in books that speak;
Learn to just sit and read fine works,
The muse now starts to teach you love;
In silence turn to profound thought,
For earthly times can live much more;
Fate holds the range of thought and feel,
Yet greet the strange friends you can meet;
Joy and sorrow form that wide arch,
Pack nice and light in sun and rain;
Easy breezy words echo fine,
Live well and love all life's faces;
Right now and here is all you've got,
Books make journeys a wondrous tell.
