Bogart's Crowd

Deafening crowd, Definitely shout, Defyingly loud, Undeniably wow’d. Hands stretched to the ceiling. Sweat beaded faces. Driven by the feeling. Adrenal speed races. Been here before, But never quite so right. It’s in the air tonight. My kind of night!

This made me picture that thing where a crowd of punk rockers pass a person over their heads. I forgot the name for that activity. haha. Obviously I never went to a place like that before. Just saw your comments on my two poems and I yes, Ritual of Love was on my list for you. The haiku I had left off but you can certainly use it. I actually prefer the modern haiku with fewer syllables to them, but at soup I usually stick to the old fashioned variety and for kids it's a good starting point!

Just an ode to a special place in Cincy Ohio. I was fortunate enough to witness many great bands play at Bogart's before they made it big. (Met Henry Rollins there after a spoken word show)

Bogie seemed like a quiet guy in most of the old films I've seen. Guess he hung out with some of the rowdy crowd though. Joseph, I just want you to know how deeply moved I am by your entry to my contest. Only three more entries and the contest will close. You will be celebrating! Love, Carolyn
