Blue Jay

The Blue Jay soared through the yard to the tree across the way. Bright color of blue seen in the brown branches where it landed. So free it is, to be flying about with such grace and peace. Worries slip away in a moment watching this bird’s flight today. This colorful Blue Jay overcame the bland landscape of the yard. Stunning in a way, without even knowing it. As we are, just the same. Descriptive imagery that captured the beauty of a blue jay and its characteristics. I am an avid feeder of birds and squirrels. I spend a lot of time watching them outside my living room windows. Thoroughly enjoyed the read of your poem.

Very keen observation, Heidi. I so relate to this poem, because I have a pair of blue jays that come around each winter when I feed the birds in my backyard. Loved this poem so much. Love you, lady.

A splash of color on a dreary day reminds us once again that there is always something beautiful if we take the time to look. As your poem is Heidi...beautiful.
