Blue

Not so long ago I met a girl like you, Broken, deprived, and lost all her hope, I tried to save her but the pieces that remained with her were few, So I gave her half of the pieces I have of me for her to cope, Days passed and she began to smile, Weeks passed and she radiated bliss, It was fun for a while, But then something went amiss, She had to go away for a long while she said to me, Destiny had never been so cruel, I pretended that everything would be okay with a fake glee, And said that I see patience as a golden rule, Days passed and I began to miss her, Weeks passed and memories of her faded, Her face began to be a blur, And waiting for her left me to be jaded, Then I met you, Trying your best to hide the pain with a smile, You remind me of the color blue, So tranquil and so graceful giving no worries to your past that was vile.
