Blooming Haikus

A beautiful sight The flowers sitting in pots Drinking up the light. The pansy faces Looking up and saying “Hi” In other places. Tulips hide ‘till spring When they’ll burst out in colour A beautiful thing. Then weeds come around Making your job so much harder With frown you are bound. You think you are done But then when you look around There’s another one!

I bet my mother could empathise with your poem, Betty - She spends hours pulling up those damn weeds! My best regards. :) john
