Blood Moon
I see a golden moon ascend
As a host of stars twinke sweet replies
And our hearts can no longer pretend
As the soft glow in her eyes
Enhance the romantic surprise
And when the silver moon does shine
I know that she'll be mine
And all the stars will cheer
When I whisper sweet nothings in her ear
But like a wounded rosebud
The moon has turned to blood
And love slips into discontent
As the stars remain stunned, silent
My heart bleeds for my lost love
As the heavens show wonders from above
