I come to you in blindness
I swear it helps me see
As I step into the darkness
Of how things truly be.
Then I step into the lightness
Of where we can surely go
I think about the future
If we should make it so
Wistfully dreaming of this view
Knowing it is what we need to do
All, waking every morning sensing the relief
No longer living in a world filled with by all that grief
So when I think about my blindness
I do so with a smile
For I realize I’m far less blind than they
By a country mile
The world like a truck, awaits its filling load
So it may get to traveling down the dusty road
By lifting from the bottom we will soon discover
The truck is now loaded with all secure beneath its cover
So come to me in blindness
I swear it will help us see
And we’ll step out of the darkness
Into how things should truly be.
