Blessings of Ignorance
Pity the people who pine for knowledge
And spend sleepless nights in its pursuit
Forgoing all pleasures offered by life
Forgetting self, nay, forget ‘living’ itself.
Feel sorry for all their showy clamoring
Making others look seemingly ludicrous
Forever find them burying their ostrich heads
Delving in the pages of voluminous books.
Show them sympathy, for wisdom is endless
Any effort in pursuit of it is utterly useless
For with each attainment, the craving lasts
And remains unquenched many ages past.
The more one knows makes him miserable
As one becomes aware of the immeasurable
Knowing rather reveals the vast unknown
Which exposes the limitations of human brain.
This all happens due to poor grasp of blessings
Conferred on humanity by ignorance ab initio
Only the blessed souls with massive past merit
Revel and relax with the blessings of ignorance.
