Bleeding Life

Like endless tears pass away
Freedom hungers for answers
Beyond the heavens canopy
The ebb and flow of knowing
In the blackness of darkness
Innocent childhood promises

Like rainbows midst clouds
Of tranquil infinite streams
Though wisdom may smile
Life bleeds needless mercy
As starlight yet thru crystal
Fearless eyes forever shine

Like mere seasonal memories
Humble breathless wonders
Wade through weaken hearts
Till breath no more enlivens
Little by little time passes by
A shell game of hope denied

Like silky thread torn asunder
Winds of change ever wander
A spirit hidden within souls
Destined always to stumble
Ascends homeward beyond
Life's evermore forgiving sky
