She casts dark shades of black on white, as fresh fine snow falls to the ground. She creeps, in stealth, to hunt her prey in still black of night, then sleeps sound by light of day. Her world is cold, as she grows old. Paw prints sight, black on white. © Connie Marcum Wong Second Place United Colors: Black and White Contest Sponsor Silent One 3-6-16 Picture #2. Snow Leopard

"Her world is cold as she grows old" liked how you captured the timelessness of the snow leopard. Very nicely done, Connie. You and Suzanne's are the only ones I've seen that picked this picture.

A delightful rendering of this black and white topic, Connie. So far this is the only poem about a leopard that I've read; the others were all about pianos. gl in the contest. ~ Regards // paul

Wonderful, Connie. You know how I love cats. This cat, though, is big and spooky. He's also big and beautiful. But I don't want to come upon those black footprints in the snow. Love, daver
